This legacy copy of a 1973 Cancer Control Journal newsletter features another Hollywood success story. Comedian Red Buttons’ wife, Alicia, was diagnosed with cancer of the throat and was told she only had a couple of months to live. Red and Alicia knew about Laetrile’s effectiveness through other friends in Hollywood, and Alicia was treated by Dr. Hans Nieper in Hanover, West Germany, in the early 1970s. She passed away in 2001.
